In Room 12 this term we have been participating in a variety of learning activities in relation to the InitiaLit program. Some of these have included: reading the story “The Potato People” and then using a potato to paint our character. Then like in the story we used objects to decorate our potato person. Students also read “The Very Grouchy Ladybird.” They then followed instructions to draw and decorate a ladybird. We have also had the opportunity to learn new games with our Buddies from Room 8.
