Room 15 - Exploring Colour in Kindergarten
Throughout Term 2 we have completed a variety of hands-on learning experiences about colour and colour mixing. We explored colour theory through stories, craft, sensory play, music and science experiments. We looked at rainbows and how they are made and created art pieces using oil pastels and coloured dye. We mixed our primary colours to make secondary colours using paint, play dough and water colours. We dyed paper towels and created “lava lamps,” using oil, water, food colouring and effervescent tablets. We learnt about colour camouflage and how to create shades of colour by adding white and black.
