Principal's Report

Dear Families and Friends,

Welcome back to Term 2. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank the school community for the ongoing support during Perth’s COVID-19 cases and adhering to the restrictions in place.

Assemblies (Term 2)

As our Week 2 assembly was postponed due to COVID restrictions, there are some changes to the assembly schedule for Term 2. The new schedule is as follows:

Week 4                 12 May – Room 8

Week 6                 26 May – Room 7

Week 8                 9 June – Room 3

Week 10              23 June – Room 5

Week 11              30 June – Room 4

If mask mandates are still in place at the time of the assemblies, all adults will be required to wear masks and be mindful of physical distancing. Thank you for your understanding with these changes.

Australian Early Development Census (Pre-Primary)

The AEDC is a nationwide census of early childhood development that measures the progress of children as they start their first year of full-time school. The census involves teachers of children in their first year of full-time school completing the Australian version of the Early Development Instrument in a secure online data collection system. The information collected helps shape the future and wellbeing of our children by providing evidence to support education, health, policy and community planning, at the national, state, community and local level. The data collection will take place across Term 2. Detailed information about the collection has been sent home with all Pre-Primary students, parents have the opportunity to opt out of the collection by returning the slip by Friday 14 May.

Your child will receive a Semester 2 Progress Report at the end of Term 2. This progress report will provide you with information on how your child is progressing against the curriculum taught so far in the year. Reports will be emailed home on Monday 28 June 2021.

Wishing all the Mum's, Nana's and Carers a very happy Mother's Day this Sunday. I hope you all get spoilt and have a great day.
