Principal’s Report
Dear Families and Friends
Book Week Dress Up
On Friday the 24th August 2018 Byford Primary School held our Book Week Dress Up Parade. Most students in each classroom were dressed up as their favourite ‘Find Your Treasure’ book character and every class came up to show their magnificent costumes by walking in a circle in the middle of the undercover area. Our school Librarian, Mrs Innes and a School Councillor picked one winner from each classroom. Well done to all the winners and everyone who participated (including the staff)!
The winners from each class received a $5.00 gift voucher to spend at the Book Fair.

Moosley was able to have an adventure and take a trailer ride to Woolworths in Armadale. Moosley formed part of a display for Armadale Woolworths Rural Aid – Buy a Bale campaign. They raised $1300 to support our Aussie farmers. Thank you to Woolworths Armadale to give us (and Moosley) the opportunity to participate.

Chaplain Chatter
Hi everyone and what a weekend it was. Did anyone else get to see the hail? Amazing, even now at my age it is something that makes me just say wow!
Quality Character #18 Patience; positively waiting with a good attitude and without complaining. Patience is not about doing nothing. It is the calm acceptance that things can happen in a different order than the one you had in mind.
Lurking in the water with only its eyes and nostrils above the surface, the green anaconda patiently waits for an animal to make the mistake of coming too close to the water’s edge. It has been documented that the anaconda can wait up to a year before it feeds. How patient are you?
Have a great week and remember to be patient with yourself. Sometimes we don’t pick things up as quick as we would like and give up. Don’t. Food for thought.
