On Monday 18th November the Year 6 students and staff headed to Dare Camp Adventures for a week of fun.

They enjoyed both early morning and evening walks throughout the week and tasted a range of yummy meals to give them plenty of energy for all the team building and adventure activities.

The start of the week they experienced the Rockwall flying fox, splatball, kayaking and Forrest ecology.

The weather didn’t always play its part, so there were changes to some activities and everyone did well to adapt. A movie was a great way to end the night.

When the sun returned, students enjoyed a fun day at Treetop Adventures, archery tag and participating in a number of cooperation/ teamwork activities.  Plus a game of spotlight.  Congratulations all the students that stepped up, showed exceptional teamwork and leadership.

Events on the final day included cubby building, disc golf and tree top adventures.  There was a final briefing before the bus was packed and our campers made their way home.

It was a very rewarding camp. The Year 6 students were amazing.

Hat_Sun.png

A ‘No Hat, Limited Outside Play’ policy is enforced at Byford Primary School all year.  Parents can assist us by reinforcing the need for protection from the sun by ensuring that students have a wide brim hat. Hats can be purchased through the school uniform shop next to Room 3.  Students who do not have a hat are instructed to play under sheltered areas such as the Undercover Area near the canteen. Caps are not acceptable as they do not provide adequate protection to the ears and back of the neck from the sun.
